The students and teachers of Shivalik Public School came together to celebrate the vibrant festival of Baisakhi and pay tribute to Bharat Ratna, Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar on his birth anniversary. The special assembly began with the soulful school shabad, setting a reverent tone for the occasion.
Ms Amandeep highlighed the relevance of the festival of Baisakhi and its religious significance following which, Eknoor Kaur delivered an informative speech highlighting the cultural significance of the spring harvest festival of Punjab. The students mesmerized the audience through an energetic folk dance capturing the essence of the festival.
The assembly also paid tribute to Dr. B R Ambedkar, for his monumental contributions to the nation with Navya Mishra laying stress on his role in shaping India’s democratic framework. Harjap Kaur explained the importance of the preamble, while Riyansh recited a evocative poem about Dr. Ambedkar’s life and legacy.
The event served as a platform for the students to connect with their cultural roots and understand the profound impact of Dr. Ambedkar’s vision on modern India hence, demonstrating the school’s commitment to cultural awareness and social responsibility.
