Exercising the powers vested under Section 6(1)(e) of the Punjab Travel Professionals Regulation Act, 2012, Additional District Magistrate Geetika Singh has revoked the license of Tricity Immigration Consultants (SCF No. 15, Govind Vihar, Baltana, Zirakpur, Tehsil Derabassi, District Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar).
This license was issued on April 22, 2019 (License No. 297/IC) to Raghav Tangri, son of Anil Kumar Tangri, resident of House No. 970, Sector 12-A, Panchkula (Haryana), for operating immigration consultancy and an IELTS coaching institute. The license had expired on April 21, 2024.
Through an email dated June 13, 2025, licensee Raghav Tangri informed the department that he had not been operating the business for the past three years and requested immediate cancellation of the license issued under the Punjab Travel Professionals Regulation Act, 2012.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner stated that the licensee had failed to comply with the terms and conditions of the Act, including non-submission of monthly reports, advertising disclosures, timely responses to official notices, and clarifications. These actions constituted violations under Section 6(1)(e) of the Act, which led to the cancellation of the license with immediate effect.
It was further informed that if any complaint is received in the future against the company, its directors, partners, or the licensee, they will be held fully responsible and liable to compensate for any consequences arising from such complaints.
