3 interstate drug peddlers arrested with 1.28 quintal doda post, 7.5 kg opium

Chandigarh, June 18 – Haryana Police on Friday foiled an attempt to push drugs into the state from Jharkhand and seized 1.28 quintal of doda post and over 7.5 kg opium concealed in a truck under rice bags in Karnal district.

Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal announces relief package of more than Rs 1,100 crore

Chandigarh, June 17 – Taking strong note of the unfavourable affects of COVID-19 on the economy, Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal has announced an economic package of more than Rs 1,100 crore. In view of the financial constraints faced by the labourers working in the unorganized sector a relief package of Rs 600 crore has been announced for 12 lakh such families of the state. Under the ambit of this package a financial assistance of Rs 5,000 will be given to all such families of the state. Besides this, a relief package of Rs 150 crore was also announced for small shopkeepers. Meanwhile, a discount of 25 per cent was provided to 600 farmers purchasing e-tractors.

Today, in the meeting of farmers gathered in Tohana, Haryana, it was decided that on 7th June, from 11 am to 1 pm, all police stations of Haryana will be gheraoed. This decision has been taken in protest against JJP MLA Devendra Babli abusing the farmers and police cases against the farmers. If the cases registered against the farmers are not withdrawn and the MLA Babli does not apologize even by the 7th June, then on June 11 and 12, farmers will strongly protest in Tohana region.
