A delegation of Joint Association of Colleges (JAC) today met Mrs. Seema Jain, Additional Chief Secretary, Technical Education & Industrial Training and Chairperson, Punjab State Board of Technical Education & Industrial Training, (PSBTE & IT) Chandigarh.
Sh. Rajeev Kumar Gupta, IAS, Secretary, PSBTE & IT & DPI (Colleges), Punjab & Sh. Sanjeev Goyal, Register Cum Controller of Exams, PSBTE & IT were also present.
Seema Jain said that the educational institutions including private colleges must come forward to provide quality education & to develop a world class system to prepare 21st century ready students. We all must bring a transformative & skill based education system.
While giving more information to media, Dr. Anshu Kataria, Co Chairman, JAC & President, Punjab Unaided Colleges Association (PUCA) said that a detailed discussion was made on enhancing the youth employability rate in Punjab through skill gap analysis & with the industrial tie ups in both Government & Private educational institutions.
It was also discussed that more skill based technical courses should be added to improve the quality education for the students of Punjab as well as neighboring states who want to pursue their higher education in Punjab.
