Balbir Sidhu's tenure led to exorbitant rise in the water rate in the sectors of GMADA: Kulwant Singh

People had to resort to court to cancel five times the water rate in Sector 66 to 80

Mohali, Jan 19 (Desh Click News):
During the tenure of Congress MLA Balbir Singh Sidhu, there was a huge increase in water rates in Sector 66 to 80 of GMADA in Mohali city.
Water rates in the above sectors were increased five times and individuals in these areas were forced to get the rates revoked by filing litigation in the courts.
This view was expressed by Sardar Kulwant Singh, candidate of Aam Aadmi Party from Mohali assembly constituency. Kulwant Singh was talking to reporters here today.
Kulwant Singh said that MLA Balbir Singh Sidhu, despite being a cabinet minister in his Congress government, could not reduce the rate of water and yet again is misleading the people of Mohali assembly constituency by laying foundation stones at every hook and nook of Mohali.
The promises made by MLA Sidhu in these elections can no longer be trusted.
He appealed to the people to make the Aam Aadmi Party's election symbol 'Broom' successful by voting in the upcoming assembly elections on February 20 so that better facilities can be given to the people by forming AAP's government and people can be freed from the traditional parties who have only been looting & beating them rather than working for their upliftment.
