CME on Basic Emergency and Trauma care held at Medical College

AIMS Mohali successfully hosted its first Continuing Medical Education (CME) program on Basic Emergency and Trauma Care. The event was affiliated with the Emergency Medicine Association India, Academic College of Emergency Experts, and INDUSEM. The CME program was organized by the Department of Emergency Medicine, under the leadership of Dr. Ritu Gupta and Dr. Aman Hooda. The Director Principal, Prof. Bhavneet Bharti, inaugurated the event, which was attended by around 100 delegates comprising medical officers, senior residents, externs, and nursing officers.
 
The main objective of the CME program was to provide training to the delegates on the management of patients in emergencies as per Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) protocols. The teaching faculty included Professor Manpreet Singh from GMCH 32 and other faculties from various departments such as Medicine, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Forensic Medicine, Anesthesia, and Emergency Medicine, who enlightened the audience on the latest updates and protocols of emergency care.
