Deputy Commissioner releases logo of Regional ‘Saras Mela' to be held in Sangrur from October 8 to 17

Sangrur, September 23, 2022: Deputy Commissioner Jitendra Jorwal, on Friday, released the logo of Regional ‘Saras Mela’ which was being organized from October 8 to October 17 at Government Ranbir College Sangrur. 
 
On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner said that Punjab Government under the leadership of CM Bhagwant Mann has decided to organise the state-level 'Saras Mela' at Sangrur and residents of the district were very excited to attend the folk festival. He said that craftsmen and artisans from all over the country will be selling their handmade goods at more than 200 stalls in the mela. He said that the cuisine of different states and swings will also become the center of attraction during the fair.
 
He said that Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Varjit Walia has been deputed the overall in-charge for the arrangements for this fair. 
 
Deputy Commissioner said that renowned singers of Punjab will perform in this fair and entertain the audience with their songs. Jitendra Jorwal said that this event would provide a special platform for the presentation of the artworks of participating artisans from different parts of the country and also an opportunity for art lovers to enjoy artistic varieties. He said that people will be able to enjoy various types of food here along with the folk arts of different states.
