With regard to Covid-19, Dengue and other vector borne diseases occurring in the rainy season, the district health department has launched a helpline number for the convenience of the people. Civil surgeon Dr. Adarshpal Kaur and Epidemiologist Dr. Harmandeep Kaur said that people can call the helpline number at 62391 16649 for any kind of information regarding the above diseases.
The staff of the health department will be deployed in the control room which is open 24 hours a day. The staff will listen to the problems of the people regarding the above diseases over the phone and suggest suitable solutions. Health officials said that the number of diarrhea patients usually increases during the rainy season. If there is a severe diarrhea patient, he or she can contact this number. If the information sought by the caller is not available with the staff on duty, then the staff will call back and give suitable information.
