On the invitation of the Joint Action Committee, Punjab Civil Secretariat, a group of employees of the Secretariat held a vigorous rally in the Finance Department today. The employees are upset with the government that the government ministers have made announcements for restoration of Old pension, but have not yet issued a notification in this regard when these announcements are being widely publicized in the assembly election states. Speakers during the rally said that the previous Congress government had implemented the option of increasing the pay by 15 percent from the date of promotion to the employees recruited after 2016, but what is surprising is that this employee centric government turned to be anti-employee by closing it. The employee leaders warned the Punjab government and said that the government should immediately meet their demands such as the restoration of old pension, the option of 15 percent increase in the pay from the date of promotion for the employees recruited after 2016. Instead of the 7th pay commission of the centre, the 6th Pay Commission of Punjab should be immediately implemented in place and the letter dated 15.1.15 should be withdrawn and the letter issued regarding dearness allowance should be amended by indicating the dates of payment of installments of dearness allowance, otherwise a sharp struggle will be spread by the Joint Action Committee under compulsion. Employee leaders Manjit Singh Randhawa, Kulwant Singh, Jaspreet Singh Randhawa, Jasveer Kaur, Balraj Singh Daun appealed for immediate fulfillment of the demands of stopping the development tax, implementing special allowance for the other employees of the secretariat on the lines of the special allowance received by the personal staff of the secretariat an remaining installments of DA be released. Sukhchain Singh Khehra, convener of the Joint Employees' Forum, said that the Aam Aadmi government has captured the state power due to its promise to meet the demands of the employees, while now AAP government has adopted the delaying tactics policies of the old traditional parties while dealing with the employees. He said that while fulfilling the promises made by the government, contractual employees should be regularized and their sentiments should not be played with rhetoric and the way should be opened to regularize outsourced employees by bringing them under the contractual system and from now on, Outsource/Slave practice should be stopped completely. According to the report of the Pay Commission, the pension should be increased according to the formula of 2.59 to the retired employees and all the discontinued allowances should be restored. Paramdeep Singh Bhabat, Davinder Singh Jugani, Gurpreet Singh, Jasbir Kaur, Sushil Kumar, Sahil Sharma, Mithun Chawla, Mandeep Singh, Sandeep, Saurabh,  etc. participated in this rally from Punjab Civil Secretariat and Financial Commissioner Secretariat.
