Chandigarh, June 15: Haryana Cabinet which met under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal here today approved the proposal of moving a bill for changing the name of Maharishi Balmiki Sanskrit University, Kaithal to Maharishi Valmiki Sanskrit University, Kaithal.
The State University was established in the name of the Maharishi Balmiki Sanskrit University, Kaithal by an Act of State Legislation but it was observed that the name in the Hindu mythology is different from the existing name of the State University, thus, the name should be read as Maharishi Valmiki Sanskrit University, Kaithal in place of Maharishi Balmiki Sanskrit University Kaithal
