The 75th anniversary of independence was celebrated with great reverence and fanfare in the country. Meanwhile, independence celebrations were celebrated by hoisting the national tricolor in various sectors including the parade ground of Chandigarh. On the same occasion, Uttaranchal Ram Leela Committee celebrated at Ram Leela Ground in Sector-40A and Residents' Welfare Committee (MIG-2) Sector 40-C celebrated independence Day by unfurling the tricolor.
On this occasion the chief guest of both the events and Foswa President Dalwinder Singh Saini hoisted the Indian Flag and saluted the country's martyrs.
Speaking on this occasion, Dalwinder Singh Saini said that after a long struggle and millions of sacrifices by our forefathers, patriots, today we all the countrymen are enjoying the warmth of freedom. He said that the contribution made by Punjabis for the freedom of the country is the highest because 80 percent of the sacrifices have been made by Punjabis in the freedom struggle. He highly mentioned the contribution of Bhagat Singh, Udham Singh, Rajguru, Sukhdev, Lala Lajpat Rai, Madan Lal Dhigar in the freedom struggle. .
On this occasion, many leaders of both organizations and local residents were present.
