 The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) late on Sunday summoned the senior-most UK diplomat in India to convey its strong protest after some pro-Khalistani groups allegedly took down the Tricolour at the Indian High Commission in London.

Indian-American named first justice of Ayer District Court in US

New York, March 6 :

 Indian-American judge Tejal Mehta took oath as the first justice of Ayer District Court in the US state of Massachusetts.

Mehta, who served as an the associate justice with the same court, was unanimously selected and sworn in by Judge Stacey Fortes, chief justice of the District Court, on March 2, the Lowell Sun reported.

"I'm confident that with her leadership a that the best is yet to come for the Ayer District Court," Fortes said.

London, March 5 :

 Britain's first female Sikh MP Preet Kaur Gill has said she was forced to contact police after receiving a threatening email message saying: "watch your back".

The senior Labour MP for Birmingham, Edgbaston said that following the email, she is forced to keep a bodyguard at her constituency surgery meetings.

"It was very direct. It's a worry because I'm with my daughters in the constituency all the time. My family live there. It really puts into context the kind of job that you do. It's tough enough as it is, but then when you're faced with that, there's very little support. This latest direct threat has really worried and concerned me," Gill told GB News on Saturday.
