Governor inaugurates horticulture waste processing plant at Chandigarh

Chandigarh, January 10:

Sh. Banwarilal Purohit, the Governor, Punjab and Administrator, Chandigarh inaugurated the horticulture waste processing plant at industrial area, Ph-II, here today in the presence of Mrs. Kirron Kher, Member Parliament, Smt. Sarbjit Kaur, Mayor, Sh. Dharm Pal, IAS, Adviser to the Administrator, Chandigarh and other prominent persons of city beautiful.

While addressing the gathering, the Governor said that the goal of Chandigarh is to ensure that the city will be a garbage free city and due to the dedicated efforts of Municipal Corporation the city has risen from 66th rank in the Swachhata Sarvekshan of 2020 to 12th rank in 2021 among 1 lacs plus cities.
