Senior Leader Shiromani Akali Dal (Sanyukt) and Former Finance Minister, S. Parminder Singh Dhindsa said that the first budget presented by the Aam Aadmi Party government led by Chief Minister, Sh. Bhagwant Mann failed to live up to the expectations of the people of the State.

Terming the AAP party's first Budget is like sending a dream in an empty envelope, the former finance minister said that this budget of the Mann government is just a repetition of the budget presented during previous governments with manipulation of statistics.

S. Dhindsa said that in this budget no mention has been made of the huge guarantees given by AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal to the people of Punjab as soon their party has come to power.  Apart from this, no proper steps have been taken to improve the current worsening financial condition of the state, said S. Dhindsa.
Taking a dig at the Bhagwant Maan-led State Government, S. Dhindsa said that in this budget, the Punjab government should have given  Rs.1000 per month for women as they have promised.
He said that promises made to eradicate the sand mafia and spending of Rs. 20,000 crore on the development of the state, free treatment and medicines in government hospitals should have been fulfilled but the Mann government have completely failed to live up to the expectations of the people of the State despite getting such a big mandate.

Reacting to the three months performance of the Mann government, S. Dhindsa said that the issues and problems in Punjab are the same as before and the Mann government is only trying to lure the people with fictitious promises.  In fact, the government does not have a solid policy to take forward Punjab on the path of development.

S. Dhindsa said that the task of the present government has become to mislead the people of the state and the recent defeat of the Aam Aadmi Party in the Sangrur by-election has also proved that in just three months Punjab  People are disappointed with the fake promises made by   'AAP'.
