There should be no room for corruption in the health department: Former Director Health

Praising the decision to remove Dr Vijay Singla from the Punjab Cabinet on allegations of corruption, Dr Manjit Singh (Former Director of Health and Family Welfare department) said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Maan has taken a historic and exemplary step in curbing corruption from government departments in the state. He said that the health department is directly involved in the service of the people and there should be no room in this department for misappropriation of public money.
He added that by taking immediate and bold action against his minister, Bhagwant Mann has sent a clear and strong message to all the ministers, officials and all government employees that corruption will not be tolerated in the state at all. He said that this decision of the government is commendable as it has sent a message to the people of Punjab also that the Aam Aadmi Party government would continue to take such bold steps against the corrupt people in future also.
