Admission campaign in secondary and elementary schools will be accelerated

Under the guidelines of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains, admission campaign is being conducted in government schools for the new academic session 2023-24. In this regard today at Hoshiarpur, an important meeting of the heads of secondary and elementary schools in Tehsil Hoshiarpur was held under the leadership of Harbhagwant Singh District Education Officer (SE) and Er. Sanjiv Gautam District Education Officer (EE) . Block Nodal Officer, Principal, Head Teacher, School Incharge, Block Primary Education Officers, Assistant Block Primary Education Officers, Center Head Teachers, Head Teachers, School Heads participated in this meeting.
Addressing the meeting, Harbhagwant Singh District Education Officer (SE) Hoshiarpur said that the admission campaign is being conducted with full enthusiasm in the district. He said that government schools have been developed on very modern lines along with qualitative improvements. Therefore, efforts should be made by school heads and teachers to create a public movement to increase enrollment in schools.
He said that five schools of eminence have been started in Hoshiarpur district and online admission has started in these schools. More and more parents should be made aware for this purpose.
Er. Sanjeev Gautam, District Education Officer (EE) Hoshiarpur said that the School Education Department, Punjab has issued a special helpline number 18001802139 to make the admission process very easy. He said that government schools are equipped with modern facilities in all respects. The state government has created an ideal educational environment in schools for multifaceted development of students. He said that the department has recruited new staff in schools on a large scale and the infrastructure has been strengthened. He appealed to the school principals to work regularly with effective planning to make the admission campaign a success.
On this occasion, Dheeraj Vashisht Deputy District Education Officer (SE), Sukhwinder Singh Dy DEO (EE), Principal Shailendra Thakur in-charge school evaluation and support team along with a large number of officials were present.
