District Legal Services Authority, SAS Nagar under the aegis of Punjab State Legal Services Authority, SAS Nagar and instructions of its Chairman, Sh. Harpal Singh, District & Sessions Judge, organized awareness programme on ‘World Environment Day’ in the District Courts Complex, SAS Nagar. The sweepers working in the Court Complex were the participants. Sh. Baljinder Singh Maan, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority addressed the gathering and impressed upon to save the environment. He praised the efforts being made by the sweepers for providing the society a clean environment. They were encouraged to adopt nature friendly methods in disposal of waste instead of putting it on fire. A pledge was also taken against burning of garbage to save the environment.
