Girls need karate training time for self defense: Iqbal Singh Buttar

Under the guidelines of the Department of School Education, Punjab and under the Rani Lakshmi Bai Prevention Scheme, a district-level karate competition was held at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Stadium for girl students from the sixth to the twelfth standard at Bathinda.
These competitions were inaugurated by Deputy District Education Officer, Secondary Education Iqbal Singh Buttar. Speaking on the occasion, he said that taking karate training for self-defense is the main need of today's time for girls so that they can defend themselves when any untoward incident happens. Be able to do your daily work without any fear.
The ceremony of distributing prizes to the winning players was done by the District Education Officer, Secondary Education Mrs. Mati Padmani. On this occasion, she wished the winning players well and said that winning and losing are an important part of our life. Speaking further, he said that teaching self-defense skills to girls will develop self-defense skills in them.
Giving information about today's competitions, District Sports Coordinator Jasvir Singh Gill said that Kulwinder Kaur Sangat Block won first in ninth to twelfth class under 40 kg weight, Kamal Rani Bhakta Block won second, Veeran Kaur Block Bathinda won in under 45 kg weight. First, Jaswin Block Rampura Mandi got second place, Harmandeep Kaur Bhakta first in less than 50 kg, Jaspreet Kaur Bathinda second, Gursimran Kaur Rampura first in sixth to eighth standard 35 kg, Rupinder Kaur Bathinda second, from 40 kg Nurpreet Kaur Bhakta first in light weight, Muskan Bathinda second, Anupreet Sangat first in less than 45 kg, Kulwinder Kaur Rampura second, Savitri first in more than 45 kg, Ratandeep Kaur Sangat second.
Lecturer Mandeep Kaur, Lecturer Kulveer Singh, Gurmeet Singh Mann, Eastpal Singh, Karamjit Kaur, Gulshan Kumar, Anmol and Harbhagwan Das were present on this occasion.
