Under the direction of School Education Department Punjab Sports and District Education Officer Secondary Education Shiv Pal Goyal and Deputy District Education Officer Secondary Education Iqbal Singh Buttar, 67 Viya District School Winter Sports Athletics held interesting competitions at Government Sports School Ghuda.
These sports competitions were inaugurated by District Sports Coordinator Jasveer Singh Gill. He wished the players all the best on this occasion and encouraged them to play with a sense of discipline.
Deputy District Education Officer Iqbal Singh Buttar performed the prize distribution ceremony in the evening session. Speaking on this occasion, he said that to be involved in sports is to be physically and mentally strong. Sports help in overcoming addictions. Through sports, we develop confidence and sense of camaraderie. The sportsman is seen with great respect in the society. Through sports, enthusiasm and passion are created in us which comes in handy in every field. Athletes who bowl in sports bring the name of their village, city, state and country to light. Giving information about today's competitions, Jasveer Singh Gill District Sports Coordinator said that among under-14 girls, Praneet Kaur Talwandi Sabo won the first place, Manveer Kaur Talwandi Sabo won the second place, Tarun Kumar Bathinda-1 won the first place, Anupam Kumar won the second place among boys. Bathinda-1 secured the second position. In high jump under-14 boys, Ishmeet Singh Bathinda-1 got first, Ranveer Singh Bathinda-1 got second, in discus throw Komalpreet Kaur Gonyana got first, Gurpreet Kaur Gonyana got second, Ravi Kumar Bathinda-1 got first, Jashandeep Singh Gonyana got first. Komalpreet Kaur Goniana got the second place, Nurpreet Kaur Maur got the second place in the sphere. In Under 14 Boys 600m Sandeep Singh Government Senior Secondary School Kamalu Swach Mor Zone 1st, Sonu Singh Ssass Aklia Jalal Bhagatan Zone 2nd, In Girls Khushpreet Kaur Ssss Diun Bathinda 2nd, Anmeet Kaur Ssss Jandanwala Gonyana 2nd, Long Jump Manveer Kaur Sahas Jujal Talwandi Sabo got first place, Prabhjot Kaur Sahas girls Mandi Kalan got second place.
