‘Atal’ canteens will be opened in 15 more Mandis, announces CM

The Chief Minister further announced that ‘Atal canteens’ are being operated in 25 Mandis of the state to provide nutritious food at affordable rates to the poor and farmers. Starting from February 1, 2024,  such canteens will be opened in 15 more Mandis, and all 40 Mandis will now operate throughout the year instead of just five months, he announced.

Power bills will be issued every month in four districts from February 1 as a pilot project, CM

        Sh. Manohar Lal announced that there was a demand from the people to receive electricity bills every month instead of every two months. For this, as a pilot project in the first phase, monthly bills will be issued from February 1, 2024, in four districts, namely Hisar, Mahendragarh, Karnal, and Panchkula. Initially, Nigam workers will go for meter readings, and later consumers will send meter readings through a mobile application, bringing improvements and benefits to the system, said the Chief Minister.

CM paid homage to the freedom fighters who participated in the country's independence and sacrificed their lives in the wars of 1962, 1965, 1971, and Kargil War

        The Chief Minister paid homage to the freedom fighters who participated in the country's independence and to the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the wars of 1962, 1965, 1971, and Kargil. He expressed his gratitude to the scientists, farmers, labourers, and the people of the country who, after independence, together made India a significant power in the world.

He further asserted that though the constitution was implemented in 1950, it took years for the people to truly feel the essence of this republic. He said that it is the governance of the people, by the people, and for the people. Despite these principles being spoken of, for nearly 60 years after the country's independence, people did not experience the benefits of the republic. Instead, one family kept the governance system stuck. The dominance of that family, established during the emergency period of 1975-1977, when atrocities occurred, awakened the people. It was during this time that people, for the first time, changed the governance system, said the Chief Minister.

India under the dynamic leadership of Prime  Minister, Narendra Modi is making consistent strides towards progress

        Sh. Manohar Lal said that under the dynamic leadership of the Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi,  India is making consistent strides towards progress and development.  Especially in the field of agriculture, the farmers of Haryana and Punjab in northern India have demonstrated their commitment to providing sustenance for the people. The country is witnessing the development of advanced technology, and through missions like Chandrayaan-3 to the southern pole of the moon and Aditya-L1 to the sun, India has expanded its reach even beyond.

        The Chief Minister said that in the past 10 years, several steps have been taken to strengthen the unity and integrity of the country. Article 370 and 35-A were abolished to make Kashmir an integral part of the country. Surgical strikes were conducted, the triple talaq law was abolished, and the citizenship amendment law was implemented. He stated that today, our country stands among the developing nations. Currently, 37 countries in the world fall under the category of developed nations. With the determination to make India a developed nation by the year 2047, Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi initiated the Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra from November 15, 2023, to January 25, 2024. During this Yatra, people in all villages and wards of cities were provided the opportunity to benefit from the central and state government's schemes through ‘Modi ki guarantee ki Gadi’, said  Sh. Manohar Lal.

        He said that India has now become the world's fifth-largest economy and, according to the upcoming figures in 2024, is set to become the third-largest economy, surpassing Japan and Germany. He expressed gratitude to Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi for this achievement.

        The Chief Minister said that Haryana is significantly contributing to the progress of the country. In the past 9 years, the state government has implemented various schemes, arrangements, and administrative reforms, which other states in the country are now following.

        The Chief Minister said that from investment to innovation, Haryana is progressing in every sector. He said that the State has achieved top positions in the ease of doing business. In terms of MSMEs, Haryana ranks third in the country, and it holds the second position in food storage facilities. Haryana is the only state in the country with a literate panchayat. Medal-winning players receive an amount of Rs . 6 crores, which is the highest in the country. Haryana is the only state in the country that provides a social security pension of Rs. 3000. With a per capita income of Rs. 2,96,685, Haryana has the highest per capita income among the major states in the country. Haryana contributes 4 percent to the country's GDP, said Sh. Manohar Lal.

        He said that a college has been established every 20 kilometres, and 5 lakh free tablets have been provided to students in government schools to promote digital education. Regular schools have been transformed into Model Sanskriti schools, and currently, 500 Model Sanskriti schools are operating in the state, with the number increasing each year, said Sh. Manohar Lal.

        He said that in 2014, the state had 6 medical colleges. The government announced the establishment of a medical college in each district, and so far, 15 medical colleges have been established, with 11 more under construction or land acquired. This will bring the total number of medical colleges to 26, and the number of MBBS seats will increase from 750 in 2014 to 3500. Under the Chirayu-Ayushman scheme, more than 1 crore Ayushman cards have been issued, and health check-ups are being conducted under the Nirogi Haryana Yojana, said the Chief Minister.

        Highlighting the steps taken by the state government for women's safety, the Chief Minister said that the number of women in Haryana police is increasing, with 33 women police stations currently operational. To control cybercrime, 29 cyber police stations have been established. Through Dial-112, assistance reaches individuals within 7 to 8 minutes in case of any emergency. Additionally, strict action is being taken against drug traffickers, with 1300 drug traffickers sent behind bars, he said.

State Government is consistently working towards providing employment opportunities for the youth, CM

        The Chief Minister said that the state government is consistently working towards providing employment opportunities for the youth. Over the past 9 years, 110,000  government jobs have been provided, and the recruitment process for 60,000 Group C and D positions is currently underway. Additionally, a separate recruitment mission is being conducted for 60,000 positions through the Haryana Kaushal Rozgar Nigam, both in the private sector and abroad including Kisan Mitra, Van Mitra etc.

        He also emphasized the importance of people's participation in democracy and ensuring services at their doorsteps. He said that the state government has provided autonomy to panchayats, initiated e-tendering, and ensured direct payment of compensation and crop procurement money to farmers' accounts. The government has provided freedom to the people from the age-old tradition of ‘Daftar, Darkhwast aur Dastavez’, said the Chief Minister.

This time State’s Tableau gave a glimpse of  the state government's ambitious scheme Mera Parivar Meri Pehchan

The Chief Minister said that the state government has achieved great success at the national level by getting the State’s tableau selected for the Republic Day Parade for three consecutive years. In the year 2022, Haryana through its tableau highlighted the achievements of the talented players of the state, while in the year 2023, the world got a glimpse of International Gita Mahotsav through the State’s tableau. Similarly, on January 26, 2024, the Haryana Government's ambitious scheme 'Mera Parivar Meri Pehchan' was introduced to the country narrating that in a small state like Haryana, the benefits of government schemes are being extended to the common people sitting at home through digital medium.

In Haryana, since 2014, governance has been provided according to the vision of ‘Ram Rajya’, CM

        Sh. Manohar Lal said that on January 22, 2024, the Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi inaugurated the much-awaited Lord Shri Rama's temple in Ayodhya, bringing the entire nation painted ‘Ramaya’, with the name of Lord Rama inscribed in everyone's heart and mind and the vision of ‘Ram Rajya’ began to turn into reality. In Haryana, since 2014, governance has been provided according to the vision of ‘Ram Rajya’, striving to provide facilities to the public. He said that the principle of Lord Shri Rama is that promises should be fulfilled even at the cost of life, and following this principle, the present state government has always fulfilled their promises, he said.

        Meanwhile, on this occasion, the Chief Minister congratulated and extended best wishes to four Haryana citizens - artist Mahavir Guddu, social worker Gurvinder Singh, agricultural scientists Hari Om, and Shri Ram - for being honoured with the Padma Shri. He appealed to the citizens, urging them to become partners in Haryana's progress and to create an atmosphere of goodwill, development, harmony, and tolerance, making their lives prosperous, happy, and secure.

        On this occasion, children presented a cultural program and the Chief Minister honored the family members of the freedom fighters and people who have done remarkable work in various fields.
