Chief Minister interacted with newly selected youth in Government Jobs through online samvad

Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal urged the youth to fulfil their duties with honesty and dedication without coming under any pressure.
The Chief Minister was interacting with recently selected youth for government jobs through online samvad here today. On this occasion Chief Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. Rajesh Khullar was present.
He extended greetings on the occasion of ‘Basant Panchami’ and ‘Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram Jayanti’ to the residents of the state, especially to the selected youth, stating that they represent the new generation which readily embraces information technology. Therefore, they will also easily adapt to our e-governance processes. The Chief Minister stated that our goal is to ensure that by the year 2030, every youth in the state is skilled and financially prosperous. Achieving this goal will enable Haryana to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations by 2030.
He mentioned that when the responsibility of public service was entrusted to him by people of the state in 2014, his first commitment was to bring transparency in government job recruitments. Therefore, he feels immense satisfaction when recruitment lists are released without any ‘Kharchi-Parchi’ or nepotism. CM stated that we have set an example of transparency in jobs by starting “Mission Merit” which has become a topic of discussion in other states as well. Citing an example of transparent recruitment, he said that the employment of 35 youth from Risalia khera, a village in Sirsa district, itself speaks of the intention and policy of the government.
He stated that during the tenure of previous governments, when government job lists were released, newspapers will print stories about which politicians' relatives were included in the list. Today, although such news still appears, it highlights instances like a labourer's daughter getting selected, a farmer's son getting selected, or children of rickshaw pullers giving interviews to the media, which fills him with more happiness than their parents. This was the commitment that we embraced in our hearts, and it guided us in carrying out the responsibility of public service.
He informed that during the current government's 9-year tenure, more than 1.20 lakh youth have been provided government jobs based on merit without any favouritism or corruption. Today, the dream of the state's youth to get jobs based on merit is being realized in real sense. Even children from poor families are becoming HCS officers, a dream they couldn't even imagine before. He stated that our target this year is to provide 60,000 jobs, out of which this recruitment for more than 10,000 Group-C positions, for which you have been successful, is a part. Apart from this, recently 1149 youth have been recruited in the police, and recruitment processes are underway for more than 41,000 positions. Moreover, several initiatives have been started to provide employment in the private sector as well, benefiting around 32 lakh people across the state.
He further stated that through the Haryana Kaushal Rozgar Nigam, about 18,000 youths have been provided jobs on a contract basis. Through this corporation, assistance is also being provided to get jobs abroad. Applications were invited for more than 13,000 jobs in 7 countries recently, and the selection process is underway.
He said that currently, the number of youth looking for jobs abroad is quite high. However, these youths often fall into the trap of fraudulent agents promising jobs abroad. Therefore, a "Foreign Cooperation Department" has been established to provide education and employment opportunities abroad. Free passports are being made for youths seeking job opportunities abroad through colleges. So far, passports for more than 28,000 youths have been made.
He further said that Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi's dream is to make India a developed nation in the next 25 years.
The Chief Minister called upon these newly selected youth to work for the government with complete sincerity, honesty, and dedication to their duties. During Samvad he also interacted with selected young candidates, all these youth appreciated the transparent system of recruitment followed by the government and expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister.
