Haryana to Host National Workshop on State Police Complaint Authorities on February 5th

Chandigarh, February 4 - Haryana will host a one-day National Workshop on State Police Complaint Authorities organized by the Haryana State Police Complaint Authority on February 5th at Haryana Niwas, where Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal will inaugurate the workshop as the Chief Guest. The event will also witness the distinguished presence of Home and Health Minister, Sh. Anil Vij.

An official spokesperson informed that as a result of the directions from the Hon’ble Supreme Court, State Police Complaint Authorities have been set up in various states. These authorities not only provide citizens with an autonomous redress grievance mechanism but also contribute valuable input to police reforms.

The spokesperson highlighted the purpose of this inaugural workshop, emphasizing the sharing of ideas and practices adopted by different states. The goal is to provide a learning experience for all Police Complaint Authorities, strengthening and enhancing their functioning nationwide. This initiative is expected to contribute significantly to fortifying and improving the systems of Police Complaint Authorities across the country, he added.
