9 players from club got selected in trials for All India Services Cricket Tournament

The Sports Department of the Punjab Government has conducted trials of boys cricket teams for the All India Services Cricket Tournament being organized by the Government of India, Central Civil Services Cultural and Sports Board. The trial was organized by the Sports Department of Punjab at MCA, Mohali.  On this occasion trials were given by the players amongst the employees working in the Punjab Government departments. The team of Punjab Civil Secretariat Sports Club also participated in these trials. President of the club S. Bhupinder Singh and Finance Secretary Naveen Sharma told the media that Punjab Secretariat Cricket and Sports Club has been in existence since 2006 and has been participating in All India Services Cricket competitions for the last several years.             Today it is a matter of pride for Punjab Civil Secretariat Sports Club that out of the total 18 players selected from all the departments 9 players from Punjab Civil Secretariat Sports Club have succeeded in the trials.  These players will participate in All India Services Cricket Tournament which is going to held from 10 March 2022 to 15 March 2022. All India Services cricket tournament matches will be played in New Delhi. Those who got selected are Bhupinder Singh, Gurbir Singh (Shammy), Rahul Saini, Neeraj Kumar, Amrinder Singh, Harminder Singh (Raju), Vinay Verma, Khushpreet Singh, Amninder Singh. Chief Patron of the Club and Deputy Principal Secretary/ Chief Minister. S. Gurinder Singh Sodhi congratulated the entire team and the club on the occasion. The patron of the club S. Janak Singh said that it was for the first time in the history of the Secretariat that a maximum of 9 players have been selected from the Secretariat for All India Services Cricket Tournament. Club's Vice President Satish Kumar, General Secretary Neeraj Prabhakar, Press Secretary Gurpreet Singh and Joint Secretary Gurbir Singh were present on the occasion.
