Mohali resident Mr. Akash (National badminton player) won bronze medal in Men singles under PAN INDIA MASTER Games at Bengluru and qualified for South Korea tour in Jan. 2023.
During the discussion with the shuttler, He just started their game for the last six years and till date he participated in various District, State and National level tournaments. He is also part of “ALL INDIA CIVIL SERVICES” team for the last four years.
He is not only a good badminton player but also a good cyclist, He regular use cycling during their regular works and also promote to others. In the yr. 2019 and 2021, Govt. of J&K organized the cycle rally, Mr. Walia participated and completed on time and also won the medals.
He said, He never use any kind of drugs, He always says “No to Drugs Yes to Sports”. He give their full credit to their mother. He is also running a club named “Fit Foundation”, and regular give the fitness training to small kids free of cost.
Shuttler appeal to the Senior Officers and Sports Department, Punjab- That our players are full of skills, We only need to polish them. We have the good infrastructures in our city, we just need to maintain.
